Who are we?
Photography and Videography have been loves of mine from an early age. When I was a kid, my friends and I used to run around with a video camera, making goofy movies, amazed at the ability to see ourselves on the TV screen. From that amazement I discovered a love of creating. With a camera in my hand, I can show people how I see the world.
I think a photo is worth more than a thousand words. Sure, words can build an entire universe in your head. But the visual arts of still and motion pictures has a magic in its delivery. Emotions hit you as you relive a cherished moment. But you also get to relive your moment from a hundred different angles. See things you missed when that moment flew by. A picture is a powerful tool, worth far more than just words.
That is why I love what I do. I want to tell your story. I want to tell it in a way that will make you cry the first, second, and hundredth time you view it. Even after doing this for 10 years, I'm still excited to get up every day and go find some new memories.
I'm lucky enough to have my beautiful wife Amanda as my right hand woman. She will shoot with me, run the photo booth, keep me organized, and always helps me better myself and my art. I would be lost without her.
And of course, she is my go-to model when I just want to pick up a camera and shoot. How did I get so lucky?
Amanda took up photography about 5 years ago when she met me. We fell in love pretty instantly. I couldn't imagine a better partner, both in life, and to photograph weddings with. To capture your love, with the love of my own life right at my side? It's a dream come true for me.
Together we have a son, Dexter. He is perfect. Red hair like mom, born on St. Paddy's day... yup, my son is a leprechaun.
Dexter is almost 3 years old now. It's amazing watching a little version of yourself running around exploring everything he can get his hands on.
We moved as a family from Tampa Florida, up here to Portland Oregon. We love it up here. We miss the Florida sunshine. A lot. But nothing holds a candle to the beauty of the Pacific North West. The trees, the mountains, hills, rivers... I feel such a sense of awe just being here, and to have the opportunity to work with some amazing couples in the PNW and beyond.
We love meeting new, awesome people, and having a career where we get to be such an intimate part of such a special celebration is really amazing. A lot of our best friends are people we've met through our wedding photography, be it clients (Hey Jazmine!) , other photographers (Love ya Andy!), even DJs (Chris, my man!).
We support love in every form, and are happy to have a diverse set of clients of all genders, races, cultures, and orientations. Whoever you are, we would love to be a part of your big day, and ultimately, we hope to be your photographers for everything life throws your way.
Please head over to the contact page and send us a quick email. Tell us a little about your wedding, and lets figure out how we can best serve you!
Lets make some memories together!
